EHAI Yearbook Call for Articles

(23 Mar 2016)

The Environmental Health Association of Ireland (EHAI) Yearbook is the primary publication of the EHAI.  It is distributed throughout Ireland in public libraries.  It allows a voice for all within the Environmental Health community and a means for knowledge to be shared and allows your contribution to the field of Environmental Health to be heard.  It joins the association up.

The Editorial committee of the EHAI is calling for submissions of articles and photographs in the area of Environmental Health and other associated fields, for inclusion in the EHAI Yearbook 2016 which will be published in September 2016.

The articles must comply with a criterion of 1500 – 2000 words and may be sent to the committee at ehaiyearbook@gmail.com as a Microsoft Word attachment.  The closing date for receipt of articles and photographs is Tuesday, 26 April 2016.

We are keen to receive any articles and photographs in the area Environmental Health and other associated fields.  All articles and submitted material will be considered for publication, and may be subject to editing, in conjunction with the author, by the Editorial committee.  The decision of the Editorial Committee to publish material is final in consultation with the Officer Board.  In some circumstances, it may unfortunately not be possible to publish a submission.

We would also encourage an article from each branch, which makes up the EHAI – giving us a picture of Environmental Health throughout Ireland.

Individual EHAI branches should be reminded to organise the inclusion of obituaries and retirements mentions (including photographs) for members.  The individuals’ membership of the EHAI should have been in good standing when they left the profession.

Please note that certain technical or copyright publishing restrictions apply to the inclusion of photographs so early consultation with the Editorial committee is advised.  Submitted photographs must be a minimum of 1mb to allow a suitable publishable print quality.

If you wish to discuss a proposed submission, please contact any member of the Editorial committee for advice.  In addition, if you are aware of a possible source of appropriate advertising for inclusion in the Yearbook, please also contact the Editorial committee.

Please forward this invitation to your friends and colleagues.  We look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,

Damien Lynch
